Pastor Chris at Pickerington Christian Church introduced me today as a man with an international ministry. He explained the ministry of African Hope but went on with the ministry performed over the years at his church through the Budd family, and a ministry on multiple continents that has touched the multitudes. It sounded very nice and I was flattered but as I walked up to begin speaking there was a flicker of epiphany, a time of seeing into the future and where God was taking this ministry. It was awesome! I’ll get back to this in a bit.
While in the USA it has been a blessing to share at Church Camps, in VBS programs, in small groups and at several supporting churches. There have been many special moments where people’s lives have been changed for eternity. What a blessing it is to be there when a person makes the decision to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior. The blessing of being able to share the Gospel and be part of people being set free is a privilege that I want to multiply; in the USA, in Ghana, and where ever God has me and my family. Many times this has me and my family separated as we are doing ministry in two locations, like this summer when we are separated by 6,000 miles.
I am missing my family; we will be apart for 170 days this year. I also miss the ministry in Ghana; the ministry of mentoring pastors in Ghana to teach and disciple their flock. Teaching the pastors to do outreach into their communities and into the unreached in the communities has been rewarding as the pastors are now assisting in creating programs for outreach and follow up. It is very rewarding to see several pastors prepared to reach their tribe and neighboring tribes for Christ. They are ready but have inadequate funding to do so. Several pastors are supplemented through African Hope and the Budd family. This is needed because the wonderful people attending their churches are poor, starving and destitute. When offering is collected there are few coins that may come, never enough to support a pastor and his family. Most pastors are “tent makers”, something that is commendable, but this leaves little time to tend to their flock. It has been a loosing proposition for years. Things need to change! Please pray for God to grant me the wisdom to multiple the funds from African Hope to maintain the growth in the churches with the pastors we are partnering with in Ghana.
Back to the Epiphany!
God showed me that this is about to happen…money multiplied, pastors being pastors and churches growing in multiple areas of Ghana. This vision had me ministering with my family in several locations…some not in Africa! We have been invited to minister in Norway, China, Nigeria, Kenya, Liberia, Australia, New Zealand, and all over the USA. It is my hearts desire to minister internationally, but God is just beginning to show me how this can happen and how the ministry in Ghana will keep moving forward in the extreme way it has since we moved to Ghana in 2003. African Hope will be growing and maturing over the next year and we sense God’s favor and anointing as we pray into the next level.
Pastor Chris made an announcement at the closing of the church service yesterday. Pickering Christian Church will become a monthly financial partner with African Hope! Thank you PCC. Also thanks to Maple Avenue Christian Church who has also made the decision to become a monthly financial partner with African Hope. We Praise God!
Keep Praying
